A Fish Passage Project Revisited….
In 2007, Lomakatsi and US Fish & Wildlife replaced a perched culvert with a bridge.
This project, located on the south side of Mt. Ashland, in the mid-Klamath watershed,
was designed to improve passage for resident steelhead trout.
Workshop Overview
- Guided tour of upper reaches of Cottonwood Creek
– Riparian planting and revegetation/native tree & shrub identification
- Willow pruning/management around established plantings
- Discussion on maintenance and monitoring of riparian restoration sites
Details: Meet at the Ashland Shop-n-Kart parking lot at 11am and carpool or ride in Lomakatsi provided transportation. Bring water, lunch, gloves and rain gear.
