On-Project Workforce Training

Lomakatsi has developed a “green collar” workforce. We provide ongoing training in all aspects of restoration forestry and watershed stewardship to students of all ages.
Current training opportunities include those associated with our work on the Umpqua National Forest, Tiller Ranger District, Douglas County.

Lomakatsi Workforce Training in Restoration Forestry

Our objectives are to increase skills, through workshop intensives, orientations, and on-project training.
Training for the forest workers, crews, landowners and others is tailored to the projects, to the worker needs and aspirations, and for the new types of work being designed under current initiatives aimed at healthy forests and ecosystem restoration.
